On the 18th of October Ms. Loughnane’s class along with some pupils in Mr. Campbell’s and Ms. Keenahan’s class were invited to Áras an Uachtaráin to meet President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina. The President of Cyprus was visiting so the children from St. Philip’s performed a guard of honour to welcome him.
This was a great honour for the school. The children were very excited and we had a brilliant day. The President and his wife Sabina met all the children and spoke to them. We also got to view some of the rooms in the Áras.
