Summer HP

 Another Year is Over…

And what a year it was! Early in the year, we were visited by local hero Eric Lowndes from the Dublin All-Ireland team, and he took his friend, Sam Maguire, with him for a visit. At Christmastime, the St. Philip’s Choir represented us in the wonderful Peace Proms for another year. In a special ceremony, we raised the national flag on Proclamation Day to commemorate the Easter Rising, 1916. In our Seachtain na Gaeilge concert, every child in the school took part and did themselves proud. We were awarded Second Place in the Dublin’s Fittest Schools Competition. Our Girls Gaelic team reached the Fingal Finals, and brought back the silverware from the St. Ciaran’s Cup. And Archbishop Martin paid a visit and helped 6th Class celebrate their Confirmation.

Halloween in 4th Class!

The children in Ms. Loughnane’s class came to school in some wonderful costumes. Even though we were wearing costumes we still found time to play sprouts! Happy Halloween!!
