BT YOUNG SCIENTIST:
A trip to the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in the RDS has been arranged for pupils in 6th class on January 12th. The cost of this trip is €8, to include return coach and entry to the event. Places are limited and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
Mr. Campbell’s 5th class project has been selected for exhibition. This is a huge honour for the school and we wish them all the best.
Confirmation Meeting:
January 17th at 7 p.m. in the school.
Appointments:
If you wish to speak to the Principal or a teacher, please call the office to arrange an appointment.
Mobile Phones:
Mobile phones are not allowed in school. If there is an occasion when your child must have a phone with them, it should be handed to the teacher that morning and will be returned at home time.
Safety:
Please remember to be vigilant about what your children are watching on TV and accessing online.
Swimming Lessons:
Swimming lessons for pupils in 3rd classes will begin on Tuesday, January 17th.
School Uniform:
Thank you for your ongoing support with our school uniform policy. A reminder that school tracksuits should only be worn on days when pupils are involved in PE or other sporting activities.
CONGRATULATIONS:
Well done to our school choir who raised €430 for the local branch of the St. Vincent de Paul Society by carol singing in the Blanchardstown Centre last week. Thank you also to Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Keane, Mr. Campbell, Ms. Kenna, Mrs. Lawlor and Ms. Cawley, who assisted with this great effort.
Congratulations to staff member Ms. Flynn, who got married recently.
Congratulations to all the pupils who have entered our construction competition. The entries are truly amazing! A tough job awaits the adjudicators. Please feel free to pop in and take a look.
Congratulations to our quiz team – Ieuan Reynolds, Senan Mooney, George Stanciu and Abbey Eglington – who came 3rd in the Phoenix FM Blanchardstown Area Quiz. It was a super achievement and we will let you know the details of the broadcast at a later date.
THANK YOU!
Sincere thanks to all our parents and guardians for all your support and cooperation during this school term and wishing you all a very pleasant and enjoyable Christmas and a happy New Year. Hope Santa is good to all!
Thank you,
Paula Dargan
