Dublin Fire Brigade Visit St. Philip’s
It’s the last day before the mid-term when suddenly the children hear a loud blaring in the yard… No. Anthony hasn’t dropped his hammer again! We have another special visitor to the school. The Dublin Fire Brigade have dropped in with two of their engines to explain to the pupils the importance of fire safety and to show how some of their equipment works, like their special suits that are fire retardant. Some children even got to sit in their fire engine or have a go of the giant water hose they use to douse fires. Take a look at the pictures to see.
